Knud Nicolaj Huus (1820-1904) Forgive me that this post is in English, I don’t trust the translation apps to not mangle some words/details. Myself and three cousins (from the UK and Australia) are travelling to Denmark next month and would like to track down any potential living relatives but aren’t sure of the best way to do this? Our g g grandfather was Danish, he was called Hans Christian Huus (1835-1898) and moved to the UK in his early 20s as merchant seaman and changed his name to Henry Brown. He had three brothers in Denmark, only one of which we know has any descendants: this brother was called Knud Nicolaj Huus (1820-1904) who worked as a customs officer/toldkontroller in Svendborg. Any information on the best way to trace any of his descendants to some living relatives would be greatly appreciated. We lost touch with the Danish side of our family when a childless cousin died 30 or more years ago. Thanks to a hardcopy a family tree, we can track Hans Christian Huus back to Jorgen Jensen Sadolin (d.1559), but I imagine there are hundreds of thousands worldwide in that tree as it's so many generations back. We'd love to contact someone a bit closer or even simply visit some relevant places :o)
