How can I search for a family name just in Slesvig-Flensburg? My gggrandfather gave Holnis as his birthplace-would church records for this place reside in more than one  parish?

I den danske tid hørte halvøen under Munkbrarup Sogn.

Søren Christian Nielsen:
Sören Christian Nielsen, * 1.7. 1840 Bockholm
(Chronik Munkbrarup, 1976)

Det er ikke denne person, så vidt jeg kan se:

Henning Christian Nielsen
https://www.danishfamilysearch.dk/cid6432642 (Census 1845)
https://www.danishfamilysearch.dk/cid16428664 (Census 1860)

Det er ovenstående navn som står hos Familysearch.

Det rigtige navn og den rigtige familie må være det som står i Chronik Munkbrarup, 1976:

Sören Christian Nielsen, * 1.7. 1840 Bockholm

Jacob Nicolai Nielsen, * 19.7. 1799, + 8.1. 1873 Bockholm
Agnetha/Augusta Catharina Hoeck, + before 1843 (father: Hinrich Hoeck, Langballigholz)

grandparents Nielsen:
Peter Erich Nielsen (Eschersand=Iskiersand), * 29.10.1766, + 10.10. 1857 Bockholm
(parents: Christian Nielsen, ropemaker in Flatzby, and Anna Dor. Petersen/Thieß)
Metta Margaretha Kubel (from Grünholzhusum/Sterup), * 25.1. 1770, + 1.3. 1846 Bockholm

Thank you for consolidating all the information I've been working on.! I've down loaded most of the church records confirming your message from the Archion site today and will continue tracing the family lines  back as far as the internet resources allow.I would like to get in contact with the Danish and German families that have common ancestors with me. I have a DNA test kit to send in for analysis too.
